Dr Ahmed Khan is an Interventional Cardiologist based in Bendigo. Dr Khan sees patients with all types of heart conditions and performs interventional procedures to open blocked heart arteries.

PROFILE

Dr Khan completed his cardiology training at Gosford and Royal Northshore Hospitals. He further developed his interventional skills working in The Canberra Hospital, and Fremantle Hospital (Perth). He has extensive experience in all aspects of cardiology including management of ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, hypertension, syncope, atrial fibrillation, diagnostic coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, FFR and OCT.

 

Dr Khan is actively involved in research and clinical trials. He has been committed to educating junior doctors, medical students and other health professionals on a regular basis.

Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ)

Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)

REFERRALS & FEES

Dr Khan does not routinely bulk bill, however he discounts for pensioners and healthcare cardholders. You do not need to have private health insurance for an appointment. 

You can only obtain the Medicare refund if you have been referred by another medical practitioner so please bring along your referral with you on the day.

Private Hospital Care

Dr Khan participates in the 'No-GAP' cover with most of the private health insurance companies. This means that any ‘out of pocket’ doctor’s fees for your medical care in a private hospital will be kept to a minimum. Our office will provide further details at the time of your admission.
