PROFILE
Dr Hashrul Rashid (Hash) is a specialist cardiologist focusing on coronary and valvular interventions. He is also a cardiac CT imaging specialist and certified TAVI practitioner.
Among his top accolades include prestigious interventional cardiology early career awards in Asia Pacific and North America (TCT Asia Pacific Best Young Scientist Award and CRT Early Career Leader Fellowship).
Dr Rashid graduated with honours from Monash University and completed his cardiology training at Monash Health. He then undertook advanced interventional fellowships at MonashHeart and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, focusing on complex coronary and structural heart procedures. During his clinical training, Dr Rashid received several prestigious awards, including the RACP Australian Trainee of the Year award and the ANZET Geoff Mews Fellow’s Prize—the highest national honours for a medical and interventional trainee, respectively.
Dr Rashid completed his PhD at Monash University, where his research focused on the role of CT imaging in guiding transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedures. His work has been recognised with numerous national and international awards, including the prestigious Australian cardiology trifecta: the ANZET Early Career Research Prize, the CSANZ Cardiac Imaging Prize, and the RACP Trainee Research Award. Internationally, he has also been a first runner-up finalist for several prominent Young Investigator Awards across Europe and North America, including those from the ACC, AHA, EuroPCR, and SCCT.

Dr Rashid does not routinely bulk bill, however he discounts for pensioners and healthcare cardholders. You do not need to have private health insurance for an appointment.
You can only obtain the Medicare refund if you have been referred by another medical practitioner so please bring along your referral with you on the day.

Dr Rashid participates in the 'No-GAP' cover with most of the private health insurance companies. This means that any ‘out of pocket’ doctor’s fees for your medical care in a private hospital will be kept to a minimum. Our office will provide further details at the time of your admission.
