Dr Nazar Bilgrami is a Cardiologist based in Melbourne. Dr Bilgrami sees patients with all types of heart conditions including valvular heart diseases, general cardiology, coronary artery disease, cardiovascular risk assessment, and heart failure.

PROFILE
Dr Bilgrami is a senior cardiologist, previously held key appointments in overseas institutions. He also has a current public appointment at Austin Health, and teaches at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Bilgrami undertook advanced training in clinical cardiology in London, an Interventional Fellowship at Flinder’s Medical Centre in Adelaide, and more recently has returned to Australia as a Heart Failure Fellow at Austin Health.
He is also trained in Cardiac Imaging (Echocardiography, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI) as well as Electrophysiology (including arrhythmia management, pacemaker and ICD implantation). He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

REFERRALS & FEES
Dr Bilgrami does not routinely bulk bill, however he discounts for pensioners and healthcare cardholders. You do not need to have private health insurance for an appointment.
You can only obtain the Medicare refund if you have been referred by another medical practitioner so please bring along your referral with you on the day.
Private Hospital Care
Dr Bilgrami participates in the 'No-GAP' cover with most of the private health insurance companies. This means that any ‘out of pocket’ doctor’s fees for your medical care in a private hospital will be kept to a minimum. Our office will provide further details at the time of your admission.
