Heart of Melbourne Joins Qualitas Annual GP Conference

On August 24, 2024, Heart of Melbourne was proud to take part in the Qualitas Health Annual Conference, joining GPs from across Melbourne for a full day of clinical education and professional development.
Held as a dedicated day of learning for Qualitas’ network of clinics, the event covered a wide range of topics, with a strong focus on practical, evidence-based updates for primary care.
Representing Heart of Melbourne, Dr. Vivek Mutha presented a timely update on Heart Failure, outlining diagnostic approaches, red flags, and management strategies that GPs can apply in everyday practice.
Dr. Nigel Sutherland also delivered a well-received session on Atypical Chest Pain, along with the role of Calcium Scoring and CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA) in assessing cardiac risk. His talk provided useful clinical pathways for when to refer and how to interpret results.
It was a great opportunity to engage with GPs from across the Qualitas group and contribute to their ongoing commitment to patient-centred care.
